Outdoor exploration
At Little Coasties School, BYOB stands for Bring Your Own Boots! Through daily outdoor adventures, students have the hands-on opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna of the North Oregon Coast.
Art activities
Think a dozen two year olds can’t handle a focused art activity? Think again! Our little artists in residence are painting, collaging, and more. Craft-o’clock is one of the students’ most anticipated times in their daily routine.
Social development
Social emotional learning is at the core of our approach to education. During play time with peers and read alouds with teachers, students practice building the lifelong skills of self-awareness, empathy and communication.
Grow their creative confidence
Each activity is an opportunity for your child to embrace a new challenge. Puzzles and magnet tiles are terrific for building fine motor and problem-solving skills. Gross motor activities, such as yoga and dance, allow for movement, expression and connection. At Little Coasties School, we do it all! Students have an amazing time while parents have time to work and/or rest.
We eat together and we art together
Did we mention that we participate in a USDA food program called Nutrition First? Students are served mid-morning snack, including fresh fruit and milk, then they bring lunch from home. In the afternoon, our cute cafeteria transforms into art extravaganza space!
